Step 1

You'll need:

1. Cleaning cloth and metholated spirits

2. Spray bottle with water and a drop of detergent

3. Cloth, like a Chux Super Wipe or similar

4. Credit Card or similar

5. Rubber band

6. Ruler

7. Pin or needle

Step 2

Fold your cloth over your credit card and place the rubber band over it.

Step 3

Clean the surface down with metholated spirits.

Step 4

Wet the surface with your water mix.

Step 5

Peel the backing tape away from the sticker and wet the back of the sticker as well.

Step 6

Place the sticker on the surface. It doesn't have to be perfectly straight as the water solution will let you slide it around a bit.

Step 7

If you like, get out a ruler or tape measure and check your alignment.

Step 8

Grab your card with the cloth wrapped around it and push all of the water out. Start in the middle and work along the lines of the letters in your sticker. Press firmly.

Step 9

Leave the sticker to dry for at least 5 minutes (longer in cooler weather). When you think it's dry, peel away from corner to check adhesion. If holding, spray the tape so that it will not stick to the vinyl. Starting from the corner, peel the backing tape, folding the tape back as close to the surface as you can. If the sticker starts to come away as well, simply push the tape and sticker firmly back against the surface and wait a little longer for it to dry out some more.

Step 10

Once the tape is removed press each letter down firmly. Smaller air bubbles will disappear in a week or two, but if there are any larger ones carefully pop them near the edge of the bubble with a pin head (never in the middle) and then roll the air out with your thumb or finger.
